About the Event

If you've tried time and time again to change your self-talk but haven't been successful, it's time to dig a little deeper to its source: Your Inner Critic!

In this workshop, you'll gain the confidence to identify your inner critic by learning about cognitive distortions. In community you'll get to both inquire about & share your personal experiences, while also gaining knowledge about the psychology behind the "inner critic." Through educational and personal experiences, you'll feel more empowered to understand your inner critic and embrace it.

What are cognitive distortions?

"They are an exaggerated pattern of thought that’s not based on facts. It consequently leads you to view things more negatively than they really are. In other words, cognitive distortions are your mind convincing you to believe negative things about yourself and your world that are not necessarily true."

You can expect to leave this workshop with:

  • A better understanding of cognitive distortions both intellectually & in your personal experience
  • Practical tools to help you ground within your body
  • Journal prompts to deepen self-awareness in community
  • A like-minded community of people working to love their whole selves
