About the Event
Throughout this workshop we will work together to identify anxiety triggers and relinquish negative thoughts through the power of journaling. In addition to learning more about the inner workings of anxiety, we will dedicate time to write about anxious feelings, engage in self-inquiry about their root cause, and create a safe space to share our thoughts.
By the end of this virtual workshop we will answer the following questions:
- What is anxiety?
- What is happening in our minds and bodies when we are anxious?
- How does writing become a tool to get to know our anxiety?
- What journal prompts can I use the next time I'm feeling anxious?

This session is led by Destiny Moore, LMSW who is obsessed with personal development and self-inquiry. When she's not advocating for college access, college success, and wellness, you can find her exploring new ways to help "beautiful souls" mindfully thrive on her website www.lovedbydestiny.com. In 2018 she self-published Unlearning Survival, a self-reflection journal that found homes in 25 states and 4 countries outside of the United States! Destiny uses journaling to manage her anxiety, and loves leveraging self-awareness as a tool that helps her mindfully choose her thoughts.
